Welcome to our New Technical Director – Martin Blackery - June 13, 2022
Welcome our new Technical Director Martin Blackery, or rather welcome back after 9 years.
Martin has more than 33 years’ experience; having worked for a number of Architectural practices during this time, he brings with him a wealth of knowledge in this forever changing professional environment.
He is an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist with a BSc (Hons) degree in Architectural Design Technology and is currently an Associate member of CIAT with a view to become Chartered in the very near future.
Throughout his career working for various practices, he has developed strong working skills which have helped him to progress.
Through his experiences, he has learnt to adapt to a changing environment and to be as flexible as possible always whilst maintaining the highest degree of professionalism; this has made him a self-motivated and an efficient person who can work as an individual, as well as a team player.
Martin has a wide experience of across-the-board types of buildings from small scale residential to larger residential developments right the way through to Health & Education, Marketing Suites, Industrial, Wildlife Centres and Heritage / Refurbishments.
During his time as a Senior Architectural Technologist, Martin’s role has evolved and expanded which has enabled him to gain additional experience in Project Management, Contract Administration, Principal Designer / CDM Coordinator roles with involvement of projects from RIBA Stages 3 through to 6.
In his spare time, Martin enjoys spending time with his wife and four boys, camping, gardening, the great outdoors, and socialising with friends & family.
