Having successfully completed Crest Nicholson, London mixed used development in Clapham. Grafik were appointed to clear planning conditions and produce construction drawings for their high value Chiswick development.
The development consisted of 4 terrace houses, 4 town houses, 33 flats and commercial space all constructed concrete podium slab with basement car park below.
The construction methods varied across the development from concrete frame to the flats and town houses, traditional brick and block to the terrace houses and timber frame / Smart Roof to the top storeys of the town houses.
The site constraints were problematic with the site requiring a new electrical substation constructed over above the basement carpark, The support and detailing around large sections of stone work cladding, retention of large existing boundary walls as well as fire engineers solution to maximise building layouts.
Due to the sites London location and Code for Sustainable Homes requirements the development incorporated numerous design standards, from: The London Design Guide, Lifetime Homes as well as dedicated wheel chair designed units.
The Results:
The final units of the development were completed in October 2014 with a limited numbers of units still on sale at a prices starting at £3,000,000.
